Prepare to be enchanted by the food, culture, painted skies, and unique desertscapes of the New Mexico Southwest!

 

New Mexico State Collegiate 4-H is excited to host the 2025 National Collegiate 4-H Conference and welcome you to Las Cruces, NM! Join us in building career and life skills while incorporating lots of fun and experiences unique to New Mexico and the border region. Explore the College of ACES animal science program, one of the few remaining universities housing livestock on campus, state of the art meat processing and food science laboratories. Build a network of friends, resources, and ideas for developing and growing a strong and resilient Collegiate 4-H organization. 

Although building skills, networks, and strong organizations is a top priority, we factored in plenty of fun. We kick things off with college softball and rodeo, cookout under a full moon at White Sands National Park and end with a tour of the largest livestock port of entry in the United States, where almost a third of all cattle imported each year from Mexico are processed.

We hope you are as excited about attending as we are about being your host!

Welcome!

Your group will fly into and depart from El Paso International Airport in El Paso, Texas. The airport is approximately 48 miles from the NMSU campus. NMSU Collegiate 4-H will be running shuttles to and from El Paso and Las Cruces on arrival and departure days, in addition to providing transportation throughout the conference. If you prefer, your group is welcome to rent a vehicle or schedule Uber or Lyft for transportation. For shuttle service, we ask that you send your flight itinerary to Newt McCarty at jnewton3@nmsu.edu as soon as your flight arrangements are confirmed so we can organize and schedule your groups’ pick-up and drop-off.

NMSU Collegiate 4-H is a student-centered organization focused on service, professional development, and citizenship while strengthening leadership, career, and life skills.

Business Meetings

Collegiate 4-H meets once a month when school is in session. During business meetings, students discuss and plan community service, fundraising, social events, and professional development and plan trips and/or retreats while enjoying a meal in the company of friends.
